New Glarus Brewing Company: Spotted Cow Review
For those who live in the fine state of Wisconsin, you probably don’t need to read this, but for those that aren’t as lucky, there’s a great brewery that needs recognition. It is the New Glarus Brewing Company. The beer I will be reviewing is Spotted Cow.
Spotted Cow is a very easy beer to handle. Its is a cloudy ale with a fruity taste. Not too fruity if you were concerned. It goes great with most any foods really. I bought a 12 pack when I was on a trip at a pretty reasonable price tag. I was unable to visit the brewery, but it is on my list of places to go if I make it back up to Wisconsin in the near future. Back to the beer. It is a “cask conditioned ale” that is brewed with “flaked barley and Wisconsin malts”.
Over all this is a great beer and well a great brewery. I personally love to give credit to the small breweries and try small market beer companies. I know most people drink the domestic brands, but one should give some of these smaller companies a try. They really put the passion and love into their quality products.
Make sure next time you’re in the area or maybe at a local liquor store that serves micro brewery beers, pick up some Spotted Cow or anything really by this wonderful brewery! Check out their website for more information on their products
