Ok, so the title is a little misleading as unless you’re friend can’t take shots and you can chug beer like it’s your job, then there’s most likely no way you’re going to be able to finish 3 beers before your friend can take 3 shots. This is actually more of a bar trick than actually doing it.

The Setup: First bet your friend that you think you can drink 3 full glasses of beer (must be pint glasses) before he/she can finish 3 shots. The only rules are that you are not allowed to touch each others glasses/shots and they must wait to take the first shot after you’ve finished with your first glass of beer.

The Trick: Take your time drinking your first beer, your buddy can’t take their first shot until it’s gone anyways so there’s no rush… Once you finish the beer take your pint glass and turn it over, upside down, over top of your friend’s last shot glass… since the rules state that you cannot touch each others glasses you win since he won’t be able to take the last shot due to the fact that he can’t get to it without touching your glass…

Make it interesting and bet the round of drinks on the trick.

I used quotes in the title around “instantly” because there is some setup time involved in this trick that involves a freezer, but the trick is still impressive as it is.

If you haven’t watched the video above yet, what you will see is a liquid beer that instantly turns to ice once it is slammed onto a counter top. In order to perform this trick you need to take the beer (in a glass bottle) and leave it completely undisturbed in a freezer for 3 hours. Do not place the beer in the door of the freezer if you intend to open the freezer door. Any slight disturbance to the beer may cause the trick to fail.

Once the beer has been in the freezer for 3 hours, remove it and tap it against a hard surface. Almost instantly you’ll see the beer change from liquid to solid right before your eyes.

Based on recent experience, short neck bottles don’t work as well. A buddy talked up the trick all night and then when he attempted it with a Heineken bottle it completely failed leaving him looking like an idiot so find a bottle with a longer neck, like a Corona. What You Do:

This one takes some practice to get right, but the end result is pretty cool. By just using your hand, and some water, you can make the bottomrnof a beer bottle blow out, in a perfect circle without breaking the rest of the bottle.

1. Take the empty beer bottle and fill it with water until the water reaches just below the neck of the bottle.

2. Place your hand around the neck of the bottle, so that your hand is flush to the top. So our hand and the bottle are almost flat at the top.

3. With your other hand OPEN, smack the top of the bottle/hand combination. You need to do it pretty hard. DO NOT do this step over anything important, go find a nice grassy spot.

4. If done correctly, the bottom of the bottle will fall to the ground without breaking the rest of the bottle.
